Safe Harbors by Night
- Sail through the Apostle Islands between Bayfield and Cornucopia (or vice versa) by day with a captain
- Stay in either Cornucopia or Bayfield harbors by night and have the boat to yourself.
- Walk around town and have dinner
- Sail the boat back the next day with the captain or make your trip even more relaxing and spend another night anchored or docked in the Islands.
- If you'd like a trip that doesn't venture too far away from civilization then these trips are for you.
- Complimentary stay on the boat the first night.
This year, Esprit, our 34 footer, will be based in Cornucopia and is available Sunday-Wednesday. It is not as large as the other two overnight boats, but is safe and fun for one or two couples or a family, plus the captain, for an overnight trip.

 Apostle Islands Caves and Lighthouse | A great destination for a two day/two night trip or a three day/three night trip is Bayfield! You'll have the boat to yourself at the dock and many of the Apostle Islands' best spots can be visited on the way over or the way back. Two of the best cave areas, the Mainland Caves and the Sand Island Caves and the Sand Island Lighthouse are on the route. The Devils Island Caves and Lighthouse are not too far away. Raspberry Island Lighthouse is also on route should you want to visit. The evening you arrive you can stay on the boat in the Cornucopia harbor. The next morning sail Esprit to dock in Bayfield for a night, then sail her back to Cornucopia the next morning. Or make it a three day trip with an extra night out in the Apostle Islands. The captain can leave the boat to you while docked in Bayfield or Cornucopia. Both harbors have bathrooms with showers, dining and coffee shops nearby, and fun, friendly atmospheres.

Cornucopia Overnight - 2 or 3 day Sail

 Bell Marina Sunset | Sail through the heart of the Apostle Islands, visit some of the best sea caves on the first day. Stay in this secure, quaint harbor by yourself on the boat for the night. The village of Cornucopia is a short walk away, with two restaurants for dinner. In the morning enjoy coffee from Siskiwit Bay Coffee then set sail to visit more caves, and a lighthouse or two before a great sail back to Bayfield. The route between Cornucopia and Bayfield passes Raspberry and Sand Island Lighthouses, and two of the three best caves area-- Justice Bay on Sand Island and the Mainland Caves near Mawikwe Bay and Meyers Beach. It is 28 nautical miles, or about 5 hours of sailing, which is a good day's sail with some stops in the middle and lots of sightseeing. Complimentary stay on the boat in Bayfield harbor the night before the trip.
