Reservations & Cancellations
Due to the seasonal nature of our business cancellations affect us greatly. Full payment due upon reservation. Our Weather Guarantee: Bad Weather=Full Refund. Determined at the dock, must be available at the time of the trip in case it gets better.
If you need to cancel due to personal reasons you may do so up to 48 hours prior to your trip; you can apply your full payment to another trip date or receive a refund less a $100 cancellation fee. No refunds within 48 hours or for no show.
In the event of severe or unpleasant weather (rain, too rough, etc.), Dreamcatcher Sailing Charters will issue a full refund or, if possible, the trip will be postponed or rescheduled at your convenience. Due to changing conditions, cancellations are usually determined at the time and place of departure, and passengers must either contact us prior or be present for a refund.
Early and late season trips are the most flexible and if you schedule a trip, we can often move the time or day of the trip for the best weather. Most reasonable people have concerns about the weather. If the safety of the passengers, crew or boat is in question, we always cancel and give you a full refund. If it is just a little drizzle on and off, passengers usually want us to run the trip.
If there is a question about the weather the morning of the trip, call us. We try to determine a cancellation as far in advance as possible, but often an early morning shower will end about the time the trip would start, so we prefer to meet at the dock at the time of the trip and determine what to do at that time. There is a cabin below and a “dodger” cover in the cockpit to stay out of the rain.
If we leave the dock but it starts pouring rain in the first fifteen minutes, we turn around and give you a full refund. We can reschedule you to an open day if possible and may even try to suggest a better day if it fits your schedule and ours. Wind is almost always found, even if it is calm when we leave the dock.
